Leadership Tip: How to Get People Perform at their Best
ENCOURAGE THE HEART:
Find ways to celebrate accomplishments.
Today’s Tip:
Plan a celebration when your team has achieved their next project milestone. A little forethought goes a long way in helping people feel appreciated for their work.
Food for Thought:
Sparkling cider and some paper cups can be a fun and easy way to say, “we did it” before moving on to the next task. Or ask each team member to bring a dish for a team potluck (dining together is a sure-fire way to build camaraderie). Leaders recognize that encouragement and support help people perform at their best— especially when the hours are long and the work is hard.
