Leadership Tip: Make Idea-Gathering Part of Your Routine

Search outside the formal boundaries of your organization for innovative ways to improve what you do.

Today’s Tip:

Make idea-gathering part of your routine. Allocate time in your next meeting to talk about outside ideas for improving processes and technologies, and developing new products and services. Tell your team about this before the meeting, and ask them to come prepared to share at least one idea.

Food for Thought:

Innovation and bright ideas can come from anywhere, at any time. Leaders committed to continuous improvement and learning are continually scanning the landscape of technology, demographics, art, and society for the latest thinking and trends.
