Leadership Tip: Be Willing To Apologize

BUILD TRUST

Be willing to apologize to other team members.

Today’s Tip:

Use a personality instrument to help team members understand one another’s different preferences, skills, and attitudes. You can even identify collective strengths and potential blind spots of the team. Profiling tools, such as Everything DiSC®, help break down barriers by allowing people to better understand and empathize with one another.

Food for Thought:

Operating within a trust-based team, individuals are comfortable being vulnerable with one another. They are comfortable being open—even exposed—and honest about their weaknesses, missteps, failures in work performance, and even fears.
