Leadership Tip: Involve Others in Deciding How to Do Their Work
ENABLE OTHERS TO ACT
Give people a great deal of freedom and choice in deciding how to do their work
Today’s Tip:
Initiate your next project based on the end in mind. Set clear expectations of what needs to be achieved and describe to team members what the final outcomes will look like. Then allow the team to develop the plan for how to get there.
Food for Thought:
Leaders actively involve others in planning and give them the discretion to make their own decisions.
