FOSTER PRODUCTIVE CONFLICT
Solicit team members’ opinions during meetings.
Improve the effectiveness of meetings—the most important setting where conflict must occur. When scheduling meetings, set aside enough time for critical discussion, making it easier for team members to engage in constructive conflict and resolve issues. Schedule additional time as quickly as possible to follow up on a discussion if issues remain unresolved.

When teams are performing at their best, their meetings are lively and interesting—and NOT boring! Team members engage in productive, ideological debate around issues, tapping into all perspectives and opinions (even the unpopular ones) of the group.
