Actively listen to diverse points of view.
Seek new and innovative ideas by gathering a group of people from different teams or departments to brainstorm ideas. As you listen to participants and their wide-ranging ideas, ask them what they would view as the other side of their argument.

Leaders seek out the opinions of others and listen respectfully—and without judgment—to what others are saying. Leaders who seek to understand both sides of every story will be far more effective in recognizing what they need to do to enable others.
